Once there lived an old farmer. He had two sons. They were in the habit of leading a very idle life. They would never do any work. The farmer did not know how to make them work. He thought and thought and on his death bed he hit upon a plan. He called his two sons to his bed side and said, “My sons, i’m going to leave you. I’ve left been a poor farmer all my life. So, I’ve almost nothing to leave for you. But I’ve a hidden treasure for you. Go to wonder the field. My hidden treasure is laid there. Dig the field and you will find it. Saying this the old farmer breathed this last.
The two sons somehow completed his burial. When they went to the field. “They worked very hard and dug up all the field. But they found no treasure there. At last, they took their father’s words to be the incoherent speeches of a dying man. However, they said to themselves, “Why should we leave the field all dug up?. We may plant some corn here.” So, they planted the field with corn. In due course golden corn came out and the sons became very happy. They then understood the meaning of the hidden treasure of their father. From that time, they began to work hard. Gradually they became rich in the village.
