A long time ago, the town of Hamelin in Germany was faced with a great problem. It became full of rats. the rats were so big and fierce that they fought the dogs, killed the cats and bit the babies in the cradles. They ate up different types of foods and cut the papers and valuable documents into pieces. People had to face a great crisis.
One day, the city mayor and the administrative officers called a meeting to solve the prbblem. They offered a prize for the person who would save them from the disturbing rats. At that time a pied piper agreed to accept the proposal. Playing a melodious tune on his pipe, the piper began to walk and all the rats followed him.
At last, the piper reached a hill near a sea and the rats one after another jumped into the sea. Thus, the city was saved from the rats. Then the piper demanded his prize but the mayor did not want to pay him fully. The piped went away saying nothing. Now, he played another tune on his pipe. The tune made all the nice children of the city follow the piper.
At first, the people of Hamelin did not pay much heed to the issue. But once the piper disappeared with the children, they started crying. But all went in vain. Those children never came back.

He started playing his flute. Hearing the sound of his fliite, the rats jumped out to the roads in thousands. The man started walking and the rats followed him. There was a stream of rats on the road.
The people of the town became spell bound watehing such a magical job. They even could not imagine that rats could join such a procession. However, the pied piper walked towards the direction of the river flowing town. There was a strong current in the river. The pied-piper suddenly stopped by river. But they did not stop. They jumped into the current of the river and all Thus the magical power of the piper’s flute freed the people of the town from devastation of the rats.
