The season I like most composition : There are six seasons in Bangladesh. The rainy season is the second season of them. The Bengali months- ‘Ashar’ and ‘Shraban’ are called the rainy season. Sometimes it begins earlier and lasts longer. Of all seasons I like the rainy season most.

How caused : The rainy season is caused by monsoon. The south-west monsoon blows over Bangladesh from the Bay of Bengal from June through September. This actually brings in the rains. During the summer a large quantity of the sea-water turns into vapour. When the monsoon breaks out, the vapour is cooled and condensed into cloud by contact with the cooler currents of the air. Thus, a heavy rainfall is caused and the rainy season occurs in Bangladesh.

Description : During the rainy season, the sky remains cloudy. Sometimes, the sun is not seen. It remains hidden behind the clouds. It rains cats and dogs. Sometimes, it rains for days together. Ponds, canals, rivers— all are filled up in this season. Rivers usually overflow their banks. Roads become muddy and in many cases unusable. In many villages, one has to go by boats. In this season, the landscape turns green. Trees shake off dry leaves and new ones sprout forth .

Usefulness : The rainy season is surely a blessing for our country. Bangladesh is an agricultural country and most of the crops are dependent on the rain water. Current of rain water makes our soil fertile . It washes away the filth and dirt from the earth’s surface . It also purifies the atmosphere . Men can easily go from one place to another by boat.

Disadvantages : The rainy season is not blessing for us all the times. In the rainy season, the roads become muddy and slippery . The poor and the day laborer’s suffer much. They cannot go out of doors for work. Cattle have to suffer much. Various diseases like cholera, typhoid, dysentery break out. Sometimes there are floods and it washes away our crops and houses.

Conclusion : It is true that the rainy season has some disadvantages. In spite of that, it is the most important season of Bangladesh. The reason behind this is that Bangladesh is an agricultural country and it mainly depends on rain for agricultural operation. In fact, the rainy season is a blessing to the economy of our country and the prosperity of the people. We always welcome this season and enjoy its beauty.

The season I like most composition:

Composition The season I like most : Bangladesh is a dream land in the world. She is rich in a lot of natural wealth. It is Bangladesh who is a land of six seasons. There is no other country in the world where six seasons appear in a year. The rainy season is one of the six seasons. Of all seasons I like the rainy season most. The season appears/comes after summer.

Duration : Ashar and Sraban are called the rainy season. In fact, the rain begins in the month of Baishakh and continues till Ashhin.

Description : During the rainy season the sky is overcast with the black clouds. The sun is seldom seen. The monsoon blows over Bangladesh from the Bay of Bengal. As a result, there is a heavy rainfall during the rainy season in Bangladesh. Sometimes it drizzles. The tanks, the ponds, the canals, the haors and the beels become full to the brims. The village roads, and the low lying areas go under the rain water and it looks like a vast ocean.

Merits/Usefulness : Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural land. Her economy largely depends on her agriculture. Again, our agriculture greatly depend on the rain. The rain water makes our soil fertile, alluvial and soft. So our farmer can easily grow better crops and vegetables on the fertile lands easily and cheaply with the help of their hand-made tool. They need not use power-tillers. The rain lessens the heat of summer. The rain water sweeps away the filth and dirth and makes the environment fresh and clean. Fishes are available in the canals, rivers, the haors and the beels. During the rainy season our communication, trade and commerce become very easy and comfortable by water.

Demerits : The rainy season has some demerits too. During the rainy season the heavy rainfall causes floods which damage our crops, cattle, houses and roads. Many fatal water-borne diseases such as malaria, diarrhea, dysentery break out in an epidemic form in the flood-affected areas. The flood take away/snatch away many valuable lives every year. They make hundreds of villages homeless, landless and helpless.

Conclusion : Despite its demerits, the rainy season is the most useful season of all. Without sufficient rain water our farmers can’t plough crops and vegetables because they greatly depends on the mercy of nature. It can be clearly said that the rainy season is the heart of our national economy and prosperity. It appears to our farmer as the greatest blessing. Therefore, the people of Bangladesh cordially welcome the rainy season.
